Lizzie: if you will tell me how to make the correction, I will do it. Plus, I suspect that this photo is more cerca 1950 than 1940 (maybe). I would have to dredge back in my fading memory about what two bars means. Captain? If so, you might be right, but “Frederick” and “I” remain inexact.
Given that there is no history to our family, I would really like to nip stuff like this in the bud, before it proliferates indefinitely.

Please spell my Dad’s middle name correctly and remove the “I.” Plus, for Cliffo and me, there is no comma between “Ransom” and the Roman numeral
